the air is thin.
it blows on your skin.
you feels as though, something is about to begin

Ryder had a large sketch pad in his hand. The sheets on it were about the consistancy of cardstock and a strange grey-white color. He had charcoal stains all over his fingers and probably on his face as well, but he was not concerned with any of these details. He stared off into the distance at the front gates of the school, gleaming prsitinely in the sunlight. It was strange for it not to be raining, but it was also beautiful. The light rays reflected off of the metal and looked almost angelic to him, yet he couldn't seem to get it down on the paper like that. He'd been working on this for quite a long time, but he was very unsatisfied. Maybe drawing was not his forte.
A heavy sigh escaped his chest as he slumped down into a squatting stance to get and upward perspective on the large frame in front of him. He shook his head, seeing no way to fix the mistakes already recorded in black marks all over the paper. He threw the book a few feet to his left and let gravity take over his body. He fell backward upon the grass and stared up. The sky was a baby blue color with a few puffy white, cumulous clouds moving around in a light breeze. He took a few deep breathes, taking in the smell of the outdoors. It was beautiful out today.
He found his thoughts wandering, his mind feeling as free as a bird. He had to work tonight and he wasn't looking foward to it. Work always seemed to ruin his mood a bit, rude customers or no people at all. It all came in phases though, and he would leave. Ryder pulled himself in a sitting position, allowing his elbows to rest on his knees which were pulled up by his chest.
